WATERCOLOR PROCESS

I start with either taking the photo myself or using a photo that the client submits to me.
I draw the image with pencil onto cotton fiber watercolor paper. I lay in light washes of watercolor paint and build up to heavy darker tones. It usually takes 1-5 hours to complete a painting. I sign the bottom with the name of the subject, the year and of course, my signature.

Silkscreen Silhouettes
SILKSCREEN SILHOUETTES PROCESS

We burn a screen and start mixing beautiful colors of ink. Next, we pull the inks through the screen onto the cotton papers. It takes several attempts to achieve the end result, which is velvety in texture and rich in color. It takes 4-8 hours to make one of these silkscreened silhouettes. The prices and signing method are the same as the watercolors but the starting size is 12"x16".
